Fascism?...

The moose picnic has long since held a tradition of nice-ity and pleasant-ness, constantly radiating out lovely vibes every year for all to bask in and enjoy

... however it is a sad fact that Fascism (and fascists) are immune to our efforts towards a better world, and will often find a way to bury itself deep into the skin of our society and occationally rear it's ugly head simply to destroy our fun

the fascists of which i speak of here take the unpleasant form of park rangers

for your reference here is the official list of regulations that govern our usual picnic spot... (i think you'll find them overly pedantic)

NO climbing on plants or trees or collecting flowers or plants
NO feeding any animals (including birds, reptiles and fish)
NO damaging, defacing or removing any sign, structure, facility, equipment or natural feature
NO camping or erecting any structures
NO leaving the lawns, pathways, walking tracks, roads or thoroughfares
NO climbing over fences or breaking through gates, fences, hedges or barriers
NO fires or BBQs
NO commercial activities or commercial functions without a permit. This includes wedding ceremonies and commercial photography or filming.
NO ball games or playing of any other games, including the throwing of Frisbees, that would cause danger to any person or animal or damage to any plants
NO playing or operating of sound producing devices (including devices that make, reproduce or amplify sound)
NO soliciting or collecting money, distributing handbills, pamphlets, books or other advertising placards or notices

no flower collecting, no frisbees, no music and no soliciting helpless strangers ... pffft, well why don't we just all sit still and watch the grass grow then!!!

Has our picnic location turned into the small town from footloose? will they be banning dancing next? ...

although we can't fight back against the fascists (that is until we can afford to buy an impressivly large heat seeking misile or such, a task now made much harder by their no collecting money rule)

... we have now been forced like caged animals to obey their overly pedantic rules ... (or at least do what ever the hell we want and just hide the evidence unconvincingly when they pop around for a surprise inspection)

so beware, keep vigilant ... for there is a fascist around every corner just waiting to tell you off for having fun
